It takes a village to make a community

First and foremost, The border of competence is a safe place for all who visit. We are a community of individuals who share a mutual passion for craft and fostering an environment for skill, participation and enjoyment. Unlike a village though - we get to say who stays! The border of competence is not a place for put-downs and derogatory comments. Encouraging words are always accepted as is constructive criticism. Discrimination based upon age, parental status, disability, employment, gender identity or sexual orientation, martial status, physical features or political belief will not be tolerated. Sexual harassment, or vilification because of race or religion are also not acceptable here. Comments deemed by the administrator to be in contravention of the spirit of the page will be deleted without notification or debate.

Got something crafty to say, please let us know. Submissions for posts and shout-outs will be considered so use the Contact page to tell us about it. It is not possible to include all amazing ideas so it is up to The border of competence if we can publish your submission. We also reserve the right to edit or alter submissions before publishing - but we will let you know if its anything major.

The border of competence recognises and understands the importance of IP rights to artists and creators. If you think there has been a breach of rights by The border of competence please definitely use the Contact page to let us know and we will look into it! Unless otherwise indicated all content, including but not limited to images, text, video, audio, is copyright protected. If you wish to reproduce any content from the site please use the Contact page to submit your request. Or, if copyright is owned by someone else - feel free to contact them directly.

We don't kickback on kickbacks

The border of competence chooses to remain independent however, there is a possibility that we may be compensated for endorsements. If this is the case we still take our responsibility seriously and will only endorse products that we have personally tried and/or researched. If a service or product has been provided to us we will let you know. At times we may provide links to products or services available for purchase for which we may receive a commission or payment
